TSC (Taiwanese Semiconductor Company), a Taiwan-based rectifier diode maker announced on March 6 that it has signed a cooperative agreement with Japanese rectifier diode supplier Nihon Inter, one of TSC's current contract manufacturing customers. Under the tie-up, the two companies will each spend NT$ 75 million (US$ 2.3 million; US$1 = NT$33.0) to cross-hold around 1% of each other's shares. This cooperation will also expand their partnership in technology, production and business expansion. Furthermore, Nihon Inter is expected to outsource more production to Taiwanese TSC.
